Week 14: Persuasive Presentation Final

Intro
Last month, i saw the news that ai, watson which was made by IBM, had succeeded to make accurate diagnosis based on learnnig a lot of articles. That news make me feel strange. On the one hand, innovation in medicine will improve my health. But on the other hand, a.i which is more effective than doctor could mean that doctor is not needed any more and because i major in medicine, it means that effective a.i could replace me

Summary
According to the article from "The Medical Futurist", development in a.i will help make accurate diagnosis, speed up the developing drugs and provide useful information to patient.

Persuasive
Because i major in medicine, influence of a.i on medicine means influence of a.i on my future, so i need to learn more about a.i to provide better service, i need to choose concentration carefully, and consider responsibility of malpractice that i could make by using a.i

(Oh, Juyong. "성대의대". 2016. JPEG file.)
As, influence of a.i on medicine becomes bigger, i need to learn more about a.i to provide better service. I need to know how to use a.i in making diagnosis and even how it works if needed.  As i know, there is no curriculum that consider the influence of a.i in Sungkyunkwan University, yet.

Question1: Do you think new subject about a.i is needed at college of medicine?

To deal with a.i, i think new subject is established.

Effective a.i means that in some area, doctor is not needed or fewer doctor is needed

For example, in radiology, doctor's main business is making diagnosis based on X-ray photograph and i think, in making accurate diagnosis based on data, a.i is far better than human. It means that radiology could be replaced by a.i

After graduation, i need to choose concentration. So, i should consider development of a.i if i don't want to be replaced.

Let's think about situation that i use a.i in making diagnosis and a.i makes wrong diagnosis.

Question2: Who is most responsible for that mistake? (me? a.i? technician who make a.i?)

(Oh, Juyong."Juyong" 2016. JPEG file.)

(Oh, Juyong."a.i, watson" 2016. JPEG file.)

In that situation, i think i am responsible most.
Although a.i make diagnosis, final decision maker is doctor and patient respect doctor's decision. That's why doctor is still needed even if a.i is much more effective at dealing with data. Doctor should learn to decide whether diagnosis made by a.i is useful for patient and should take responsibility about final decision.

Conclusion
development of a.i has huge effect on medicine and my future. To respond to that improvement, i need to know how to use it and consider the effect in choosing concentration and responsibility about malpractice

Week 13.1 Persuasive Preparation

Growing influence of a.i on medicine brings innovation and because i major in medicine in university, that also have influence on my future, so, i will talk about influence about curriculum, changing roll of doctor, and responsibility about mistake. As applying a.i in health care brings benefits, doctor need to learn about a.i  to use it in making a diagnosis or surgery.  However, today, their are no specific curriculum which include knowledge about a.i in medical college. Because a.i can deal with huge data effectively, a.i will replaces doctor in some area and it means that in some area, doctor roll became assistant or even some area will not need doctor. If a.i make wrong diagnosis and from that, patient is damaged, who is responsible for that damage, a.i? a.i maker? or doctor who use a.i?. To prevent the confusion from former situation, there should be revision in medical malpractice.Innovation of a.i change environment of my future occupation on by affecting medical curriculum, roll of doctor, and responsibility about mistake.

Week 12: Persuasive Article Citation and Summary

According to the article from The Medical Futurist, "Artificial Intelligence Will Redesign Healthcare", the development in a.i technology will impact on making diagnosis, efficiency in developing drug, and give will open sources about healthBecause a.i can use huge data to provide treatment to client, doctors will be able to make more precise decision. For example, IBM Watson made its own algorithm which is used to analyze information about patient to help make treatment plans. And also, the algorithm based on a.i can improve efficiency in developing pharmaceuticals. A.i help reduce time taken to develop the medicament because a.i algorithm can deal with huge data effectively.  And, open sources made by a.i will provide analyzed data to patient. Medical history records and treatment data will be saved and offered through a.i infrastructures. Then, that will help patient make plans about their disease more easily. By using A.I in medicine, we can improve accuracy of diagnosis, speed up the development of drug, and provide useful information to individual

Week 9.1 Final Info Demo

Intro:Today, I will introduce  Haka. Haka is the traditional dance of Maori who is the native of New Zealand. I will give you information about its origin, several types of Haka, and how it is used today.
Information :
1. Origin
According to Maori legend, when Hine-raumati (son of the son god)was born, there were vibrations in the air. And Maori people believe that Haka's postures were originated from his coming

Nowadays, Haka is well known as the war cry.
haka war cry에 대한 이미지 검색결과
               ("Ka Mate Ka Ora",JEPG. http://jacket2.org/commentary/ka-mate-ka-mate-ka-ora-ka-ora )
One hypothesis of its origin is that before a battles, Maori warriors performed some vigorous, aggressive, and threatening movements to undermine there enemy's morale, and those movements became the origin of Haka.

To intimidate the enemy, Maori warriors stamped there feet ,shouted vigorously, and made face.

2. Types
Because there are many reasons to perform it, Haka has some different types.

One of its types is Peruperu which is dance for battle. Peruperu is performed with weapons.

(Bayard, Emile. "Danse de Guerre des Maoris". JPEG file)
Warriors bent there legs and stick there tongue out to discourage the enemy.
Tutu Ngarahu and Whakatu Waewae are also known as war dace. Tutu Ngarahu was including side to side jumping and warriors were holding there weapons. But, in Whakatu Waewae, no weapons were utilized

Another type of haka is Manawa Wera.
Manawa Wera New Zealand Haka
              ("Manawa Wera". JPEG file http://www.nzholidayguide.com/new-zealand-haka-dance/)
It was performed without weapons because it was not for battle, rather it was used for funerals. In performing Manawa Wera, the performer can construct the motions more flexibly. It means that the moves in Manawa Wera are not fixed

3. How it is used today
In modern times, Haka is used by many different cultures for many purposes

In Korea, KT, Telecomunication company used Haka to advertise there fast internet services.
